an eventful saturday

I was determined to find the hollyhock house after my friend mentioned it over coffee. I walked up to barnsdall park and saw this beautiful entrance

the house itself was intricate, unique, looked very mayan and most of all, it has an amazing view of the city.


sketching tats and writing some notes with an iced latte my friend showed me Trails Cafe at Griffith Park. I really hope to go back there after a hike one morning.

Jadyn's Cat Storybook

I dropped by this afternoon to teach for an extra hour today and I helped the kids put together their own storybooks. Jadyn's work is nice :). I love that her cat roams around the street with her rat friend to search for food. I really wanted to tell her that the cat has no need to look for food :P

Wine shower to Hairspray

Even to the day of the shower, I was labeling and relabeling wine bottles because i realized that Sticky things and I don't get along. Visits to Staples + Kinkos = 3

jeff slaved away at his firm just to get these box seats for the four of us. What an experience it was! Homemade sangria + homemade burrata heirloom tomato salad + wine + Lark's cupcakes+ friends + HAIRSPRAY = a fun-filled night with lots of laughs.

larchmont with jean

my times with jean are rare but long and well spent :) She loves rose wine, coffee, cheese, and is one of the most generous girls I know. Strange how we click better than we did 9 years ago.

Jen: "I'm at my office (proof bakery) right now. My office happens to have coffee and pastries." This is what I found on her table as I walked in late. I forgot how much Jen loves dessert and pastries.
