holiday

Since it was a holiday, i slept in and made a bagel breakfast for a friend and I to eat this morning.
I spent the day catching up with old friends and new friends.

i had dinner at times square with jean and jenny but I was so full i ended up walking all the way home and passed by this beautiful fountain.

i took jean to this jazz bar basement in west village. First time ever seeing an asian bass player.

sam's goodbye dinner

we went to otto mario battali's pizza and wine bar for sam's goodbye dinner.

chat over wine

i had dinner with my subletter who was about to leave for vienna, her home. It was good to chat about her experiences here in nyc for the past three months.

stars concert

stars were amazing in concert. they played their old songs as well as their new EP sad robot

at stanton social

we celebrated bday with all her friends this time at stanton social in the lower east side. Look at them smile

we celebrated helen's bday with her favorite red velvet cake at magnolia's and some sparkling wine.

i finally tried the pastrami sandwich at katz's deli. I only had half and I was so full. Thanks brian and jason!

I was waiting for helena to sit for brunch at prune. Always seems to be packed. I had to wait near the closed thai restaurant because of the heat.

i cooked today!

i really wanted to experiement today after picking up some green tomatoes. I made chicken with tomato, basil, and mozarella. Roasted rosemary potatoes, sauteed french cut beans served with jalapeno breadsticks. :P

gramercy park after a long time

i stopped by gramercy park on my way to sva, the one park i cannot get into because I can't afford to live in that neighborhood. I used to love joggin around it because I couldn't go inside. Reminds me of my first year in nyc.

columbus circle

i met my friend su at her office near columbus circle. I love seeing this place at night with the fountains lit up. I really do love fountains...

central park to hudson river

Sunday was a beautiful day. I had this urge to go sketching somewhere. I joined helen and claire at central park and sketched while they were getting picked up by some guys. Then I met up with carol and shawn to look at sailboats near the pier. :)

thunder after noon storm

I got drenched after walking ten blocks to my bus stop. I changed 3 times that day

cafe habana

helen, debbie, and I went to cafe habana for a late dinner. We waited for an hour/half almost. I forgot that about nyc.
