Live Music WAZ

I loved watching WAZ perform live tonight. I went with tishia and the girls to see this guy we randomly discovered through myspace. His songs are really mellow but i like mellow :)

madison square jazz and blues

I was walking back from class and i passed by my park. Everyone was sitting on the grass listening to free jazz and blues. I sat down for a bit and got up because i was sticky from the humidity.

Tuesday morning breakfast and thai market for dinner

Ciabatta bread with butter and jam was really good for breakfast this morning. I wanted to get tickets for shakespeare in the park but saw the lines for it. So i got breakfast instead before going to school. And then for dinner, i got to hang out with my friend joe. we got dinner at thai
market. They have wonderful food leaving you with a feeling that you just left from thailand.

I just rested my sunglasses here to take a break from the heat outside and drink an iced cappuccino. I started doodling for a couple of hours.

string puppet show

we were walking through central park to get to the moma and we came across this puppet show. It was so cute. So many kids were intrigued by this one puppet who could play the violin.

brief lunch at the park

It was funny because as i was eating a quick salad at madison square park, I was approached by two toddlers who wanted some of it. My salad looked appetizing to them i guess.

Friday was chillin at the cafe and chillin at the park

I noticed this man just people watching outside this espresso bar and I thought i'd do some people watching too.
I also got to chill with a friend at the park just looking up at this sky. It was a nice day.

live music outside apt

i was walking by this street and i heard live music coming from someone's apt porch. It was an actual show, how amusing. I left a tip. :)

these boys were so excited as they were calling out numbers, "look 89 is leading! no 61 is!!!" I wanted to join them also.

after my nap, i started to sketch ideas for my thesis cover. my pencil looked so playful.

My friend was napping at the park while i was examining my feet. It was a beautiful day out =)

Salad at Cafe Henri

I spent the day at this cute cafe on bedford reading and writing. The salad here is delicious.

South Street Seaport

We went to south street seaport to watch some fireworks :) i love watching fireworks. It was nice to hang out with friends and see the reflection in the water.

Rooftop Lounge

One of the coolest settings here in the city is to be sitting on the rooftop chatting with friends and new friends...

lunch at madison square park

I had this craving for kimbab so I brought it to the park to eat with my friend. Along the way, I saw a squirrel focusing so hard on cracking the walnut open. It was so cute because it didn't care that i was 4 inches away snapping a photo.

Met Opera at Central Park

we had a nice picnic at central park with cheese, wine, and bread while listening to opera music. One of the cool summer events in the city. :) We were far from the stage and hardly payed any attention to the music but we sure did have fun piggin out on some cheese and bread. Look at the sky, it's so gloomy. It was a chilly night.

japonais to gray clouds

My friend took me out for a pleasant lunch after my interview.
I tried this ahi tuna salad, it was so yum. Then I saw these clouds roaming as I was eating dinner that night out on a patio :)

Bayside H.S.

It was quite intimidating to see this huge high school. It looked like the ones i used to watch on saved by the bell or some other tv show. This school is actually called Bayside High School.


As i was waiting for the train to go back to Penn station, this man was walking through my sunglasses.

spring awakening!

I watched this musical called Spring Awakening. It was an enoyable story with such great songs ;) I'm glad it won the tony award for best musical~

I met up with tishia for brunch after my test. We ate at this really cute place in Freeman's Alley.

It was nice to see the sun set over the hudson river while waiting for a friend. I believe this is where the boats dock...?

Kimchi and Naengmyun

i shared some korean food (naengmyun) with some girls in my small group. And i got to eat my once a month kimchi =P

Long Beach to the Brooklyn Bridge

So I was able to finally see the atlantic ocean. We took a train ride to Long Beach in Long Island and it was such a beautiful day at the beach. And it's a not so clear evening on the brooklyn bridge. I was so excited to see the sun setting here but the orange ball quickly dissappeared.

Sakagura Sake

I was able to experience this cool authentic japanese sake bar downstairs. The whole environment gave me a taste of what it would be like if i visited Japan. The sake here is a refreshing rice wine.
