Sunsets are nice in nyc too

As i was working on my project in the 9th floor studio, i noticed the sun setting. I quickly grabbed my camera and tried to capture whatever was left and shown near the building across from us.

I was sitting at madison square park before class and I saw this asian boy sitting on the bench with his mom. I think he was drinkin the coke and trying to swallow hard...

cafe grumpy

Today was an all day writing my paper day. I got most of my work done at this coffeeshop known as cafe grumpy. They have interesting types of coffee and i tried one even though i'm not much of a coffee fan.

italian food on arthur ave.

The four of us went to this restaurant called Robertos. It was great authentic italian food, one of the best in nyc :) I'm glad I got to try it out. We some wine, caprese w/prosciutto and olives..., osso bucco, and this eggplant tomato artichoke ricotta pasta.

my bag filled wtih surprises

Yay, my bag has been fixed. I can now hold packets of paper to bring with me everywhere like today. I went to a coffeeshop to do some work there.

Corn by the Street

I was passing by the street fair on the upper west side. The corn actually looked really good even without the butter and all that unhealthy fat

brunch and gallery hopping

We went to brunch at this one place called nolita house where they were playing bluegrass music. I've never sat down to bluegrass music before so it was fun to see and hear. Afterwards, we went gallery hopping and saw this cool exhibit in chelsea. The lights were kind of amazing.

tapas and sangria

I met up with leslie for a long lunch at this tapas restaurant called Boqueria. Supposedly it has the best paella in the city. It was quite tasty. My Sangria was refreshing too :)

oh wednesday

from grand central station, i went to class and then had a nice chill dinner somewhere in the lower east side. it's this place called Grotto, very cute.

My first Yankees Game

It was my first time at the Yankees Stadium. It was pretty awesome. Yankees vs. Red Sox.
People are so funny here at the stadium. i remember one guy saying...you greek god of strikes!

central park was so beautiful

It was a beautiful day at central park. There must have been a thousand people there today. This is the reflection of the clouds above the water.

MOMA to NY Palace

i know I shouldn't take pictures of strangers but LOOK! She was so enthralled by Monet's wall painting of the lily pads. Later on that night, I saw this random place filled with bright lighting and candles on the steps. It was this place called the NY Palace.

Alice's Tea Cup

Hannah and I had some friday evening tea at this cute tearoom. I felt like I was in the storybook.

home and comfort

So my friend told me to go to this furniture store where they have a cafe. He thought it was perfect for me since i like mellow settings. Turns out older senior citizens like to go there and have tea/coffee.

Thunderstorm

We had a thunderstorm and it was pouring down. I think i changed my clothes twice this day.

Gramercy Park is beautiful today

Today, I walked by Gramercy Park and I really wished I could have just snuck inside somehow and sat there for the morning. It was such a nice day out. Later on that night, i was able to have some milk tea with a few interesting people...

this 2 dollar necklace I bought

I bought this 2 dollar necklace at the street fair on Saturday and it looked really pretty in the sunlight. I never wear anything more than a string...but this one's brown. I love earthtones.

A nice car ride

It's been awhile since i've been a passenger in a real car (besides a cab)
My small group buddies drove along the east river to get to chinatown for some lunch and haircut after church.

Street Fair

It was a street fair out at Park Ave. I love walking through these even though it's the same kind of vendors each block. It was just a nice saturday outside.

Gotta try new york pizza

I actually made my parents try the subway to get to this pizza place. I'm so proud of them because they beared through all the stairs and noise of the train.

My dad likes pizza, especially crunchy ones.

Graduation day at Radio City Music Hall

It was one of the most thematic and beautiful graduations I've ever seen. Radio City Music Hall is BEautiful. With the logo of the school, the lights inside the theatre were orange red and it seemed more like an awards ceremony than anything else. They showed a video with some of us being interviewed and a slideshow of some of our portraits.

Welcome

My parents flew in this day. It was really good to see them. Here my dad is getting connected to his old hs buddies living here in ny.

all day in bed

Tuesday was an all day in bed for janice. I didn't feel too well from the dinner the previous night. I thought sleeping through the nausea would help.

Mercury Lounge

I got to see Alice Smith perform and she has an amazingly strong voice, such a wide range. I got to see this with leslie, cameron, greg, and this guy named daniel bedingfield originally from new zealand. such an interesting guy. supposedly he's natasha bedingfield's brother and is really popular out in the UK.

It was so refreshing seeing the sunset over the water.

Revlon walk/run

hannah and I participated in the Revlon walk/run for women's cancer. It was great being part of a community event and for a cause.

Bryant Park

I love fountains, I saw this at bryant park where everyone was just laying out in the nice warm weather.

thursday afternoon

It was cute because this old man and old lady each using walkers came out and met up for a date together. They shared a bagel with cream cheese and coffee. I snuck a photo of them in the background while taking a photo of my book.

The capitol

this is the capitol building and the reflecting pool. I walked around the washington mall while my friend was at work. I was able to check out a few museums while i was here. I enjoyed looking at quite a few of them. This is the sculpture I stood under because I liked the view.

Field Trip

I was able to get out of the city and see what else lies on the east coast. Guess which house I saw?
